#RamadanTips – Episode 5: Finding Peace Amid Chaos

Have you ever felt – I am amid hardship, but I don’t see the ease? Allah SWT is denying me so many blessings?

As humans, as we are, it is easy to feel grateful when life is good, but gratitude is worth the effort when chaos strikes.

Allah SWT comforts the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in Surah Al Hijr: “We know how your heart is distressed at what they say. But celebrate the praises of your Lord, and be of those who prostrate themselves in adoration.”

What if we can transform our struggles into appreciation and gratitude. Instead of focusing on what we cannot control, we focus on what we can change.

The impact on our perception of life and faith can be incredibly empowering if we shift the focus from the negative and see the situation through a positive lens.

Zig Ziglar said – Gratitude is the healthiest of all human emotions. The more you express gratitude for what you have, the more likely you will have even more to express gratitude for.

Here are a few tips, so you see and experience more gratitude each day.

💎 Start and end each day with a grateful heart. And eventually, make it a habit.

💎 Break down the negative thoughts to address them one-by-one.

💎 Identify where you are lessening the good and where you are maximizing the bad.

💎 Replace negative thoughts with healthier ones by objectively identifying the positive things the trial brings into your life.

💎 Always remember to say “Alhamdulillah” when you find something that you are grateful for.

Indeed, We blessed Luqmân with wisdom, saying, “Be grateful to Allah, for whoever is grateful, it is only for their own good. ~ Quran 31:12

End the day on a positive note. Before you go to sleep, ask yourself, what brought me joy today? Spend a few minutes thanking Allah SWT for the little and big things you have in your life.

We are thankful for waking up this morning in good health. Tell us, what three things are you grateful for?
